About Us
Alpha Sigma Kappa is a professional and social sorority dedicated to supporting women and gender minorities pursuing degrees and careers in STEM.
Our roots can be traced back to the Little Sisters of Triangle, an organization associated with Triangle Fraternity at the University of Minnesota since 1983. In the late 1980s, the Little Sister organization was phased out by the national council, so members of the Little Sister Chapter created an independent group for women entering traditionally male-dominated fields. This vision eventually grew into Alpha Sigma Kappa, a national organization dedicated to empowering women and gender minorities in STEM.
The Boston University Pi Chapter was established in 2022 to bring this mission to the BU community. Today, we strive to create a welcoming space where members can connect with one another, explore their interests, grow as leaders, and support each other throughout their academic and professional journeys!
